DIC has the following functions: Temp D.T.E. (Distance To Empty) Fuel Ø Outside temperature Possible range with remaining fuel. When the possible range is less than 30 km, the text Refill fuel now is displayed Average fuel consumption since function last reset Dist Speed Ø SPD W Settings Phone 3 Distance to destinations. Function can also be used as a trip meter Average speed Speed warning Settings such as alarm time, language, rain sensor 3 Handling of e.g. number lists, see Infotainment manual When the engine is started, the function that was selected when the engine was switched off is displayed, with the following exceptions: • Temp is displayed if the outside temperature is between –3 °C and +3 °C • D.T.E. appears if the amount of fuel is only enough for max. 50 km Outside temperature WARNING Bear in mind that ice can develop on the road surface even at air temperatures over +3 °C, especially on bridges and shady stretches of road. The Temp function is always activated when the outside temperature is within the interval –3 °C and +3 °C. If the temperature sensor, located under the front bumper, is covered by snow or ice, temperature readings will be unreliable.

460_OM_MY09.book Page 73 Wednesday, April 2, 2008 10:32 AM Instruments and controls 73 Setting values 1 Select the function using the steering wheel buttons, or . • SPD W (preset to 55 mph (90 km/h)) • Dist (preset to 100 miles/100 km if not previously set) • Speed Ø 2 Hold the SET button depressed until a chime sounds. 3 Press the steering wheel buttons, or to change the value (the value can be reset with button CLR). 4 End by pressing the SET button. Using DIST as a trip meter 1Select Dist using the steering wheel buttons, or . 2 Press and hold the CLR button for approx. 1 second. An arrow will now appear on the right-hand side of the display, indicating that the trip meter is running. Resetting a single function 1 Select the function to be reset using the steering wheel buttons, or . • Fuel Ø (the value is reset to 10l/100 km) • Speed Ø • Trip (Dist used as trip meter) 2 Press and hold the CLR button for approx. 1 second. The selected function will now be reset. Resetting the trip computer 1 Press and hold the CLR button (approx. 3 seconds) until audible confirmation is given. The following functions will be reset: • Fuel Ø (the value is reset to 10l/100 km) • Speed Ø • D.T.E. (the value is reset to the distance that can be reached with the amount of remaining fuel if fuel consumption is 10 l/100 km; lower fuel consumption increases this distance) • Trip (Dist used as trip meter)
