Clean the rubber seals on the bonnet, boot lid and doors, and lubricate them with glycerol (glycerine). • After washing the car, dry the brake discs to avoid corrosion by taking the car out on the road and applying the brakes a few times. • Fill the fuel tank to prevent condensation forming in it. • Top up the coolant and check the antifreeze before the onset of winter. 1 Downhill with kerb. Turn the wheels toward the kerb and edge the car forwards until the wheel lightly touches the kerb. 2 Uphill with kerb. Turn the wheels away from the kerb and edge the car backward until the wheel lightly touches the kerb. 3 Uphill or downhill without kerb. Turn the wheel towards the verge so that the car, should it move, will not roll towards the middle of the road. • Park the car in a covered, dry, well-ventilated area. Do not apply the handbrake! • If necessary, place chocks under the wheels. • Disconnect the negative (-) battery lead. If frost is likely to occur during the lay-up period, remove the battery and store it in a frost-free place. • If it is not possible to stand the car on axle stands, increase the tyre pressure to3bar (43psi). Leave all the door windows open a crack and cover the car with a non-plastic tarpaulin.

The parking aid system facilitates parking and reversing. There are four sensors in the rear bumper that detect objects up to 1.8 metres behind the car. Area monitored by the sensors seen from the side If the car is heavily laden, the system may falsely indicate that there is an object within the detection range. This is since the sensors are angled towards the ground when the car is tail-heavy. The system uses four sensors in the rear bumper. These emit ultrasound signals that bounce back to the sensors off any objects behind the car. The system, however, cannot always detect small or narrow objects, such as a post, since the reflective surface presented to the car is too small. Area monitored by the sensors seen from above The system is activated automatically when reverse is engaged. Audible confirmation is given and the following text is shown on the DIC: Parking Assistance active. If a warning message, such as the seat belt reminder, is shown on the DIC when reverse is engaged, the audible signals from the parking aid system will not be heard since the warning message has priority.

Laying the car up
If the car is not going to be used for some
steps are recommended:
• Drain the washer fluid reservoir and
hoses.
• Wash and wax the car. Clean the rubber
• Fill the fuel tank to prevent condensation
forming in it.
before the onset of winter.
1 Downhill with kerb.
lightly touches the kerb.
2 Uphill with kerb. Turn
backward until the wheel
lightly touches the kerb.
3 Uphill or downhill
wheel towards the verge
so that the car, should it
move, will not roll towards
the middle of the road.
• If necessary, place chocks under the
wheels.
• Disconnect the negative (-) battery lead.
