Make sure the retainer is fully seated across the underside of the wheel and centered in the wheel opening. 7. Keep turning the wheel wrench until the tire is against the underside of the vehicle. 8. When the tire is raised against the underside of the vehicle, continue turning the wrench until you hear two clicks or feel it skip twice. The spare tire hoist can not be overtightened. 9. Try to move the tire with your hands to be sure that it is secured in place. If the tire moves, use the wheel wrench to tighten the cable. 10. Reinstall the lock. 11. Reinstall the access hole cover. 12. Reinstall the hitch cover. – – – – – 381 . . .
