Service and Maintenance
Windshield Washer Fluid
Use windshield washer solvent
such as GM Optikleen ® rather
than water to prevent freezing and
for better cleaning.
If the washer fluid reservoir is
low on fluid, WASHER FLUID
LOW -- ADD FLUID will appear on
the Driver Information Center
display.
See "Driver Information Center
Messages" in Section 1 for more
information.
1. Open the cap with the washer
symbol on it.
2. Add washer fluid until the tank
is full.
NOTICE
• When using a concentrated
washer fluid, follow the
manufacturer's instructions.
• Don't mix water with readyto-use
washer fluid. It could
freeze and damage washer
system components.
• When it's very cold outside,
only fill the tank 3/4 full with
fluid to allow for expansion.
• Don't use engine coolant for
your windshield washer. It can
damage your washer system
and paint.
