_________________________________________________________________
2.8 The area benefits from well-developed transportation links. It is
crossed by a number of strategic railway links including the
electrified east coast line and the Manchester to Hull trans-Pennine
line, and Selby has a direct service to London. There is also direct
access to the A19, A63 and A64, and the M62, M1 and A1 (M)
national motorway routes which cross the District.
