Ousegate Hostel is running at 33% occupancy due to effective homeless<br />
prevention work. This results in a rent loss. A six month trial has commenced<br />
with Time Out from 1 September 2011 where 3 units are to be used to develop<br />
an integrated homelessness service for young people in <strong>Selby</strong>.<br />
Edgerton Lodge Hostel is running at 33% occupancy due to effective homeless<br />
prevention work. This results in a rent loss. The subject of both hostels is to be<br />
looked at and a project group will be set up, with key officers in October 2011 to<br />
work up an action plan & timescales and options appraisal in respect of hostels.<br />
Options may include agreements with Registered Social Landlords, other public<br />
or private sector partners, commercial/social let (assured short hold) or disposal<br />
in the context of a business model taking into account projected future demand<br />
and obligations.<br />
