balance and process control.
AusIMM member A$2420 | Non-member A$2640
SHORT COURSE 2: Heap Leaching: Uranium, Copper,
Gold and Nickel by Graeme Miller
Saturday 13 – Sunday 14 July 2013
8.30 am – 5.00 pm, Pan Pacific Perth
The course is designed for engineers and other
professionals working or interested in heap leaching of
uranium, copper, nickel and other species including gold.
The course is designed to provide fundamental
understanding of the physical and chemical rate
determining processes that underpin these operations.
The effects of ore and leach variables impacting on
construction and management decisions will be
developed. This includes consideration of the ore and
heap geotechnical characterisation and the
consequences on the design and operating decisions.
SHORT COURSE 3: Energy Efficient Comminution
presented by JKTech
Thursday 18 July 2013
8.30 am – 5.00 pm, Pan Pacific Perth
This course will provide attendees with an overview of
established strategies for improving comminution
energy efficiency, including ‘quick wins’ and longer-term
programs. New research directions and strategies are
also reviewed. Delegates will then be provided with a
methodology for identifying opportunities for reducing
energy consumption within their own operations.
Individual action-plans can be developed and discussed,
allowing delegates to leave with a clear strategy for
improving energy efficiency in their own comminution
circuits. The workshop is suitable for company
executives, industry professionals, site managers,
site-based specialists, operators/technicians and anyone
with an interest in reducing unnecessary energy
consumption in the minerals industry.
