Option 7 - Log Operating System Assertion Events<br />

Enabled the system controller will log operating system assertion events<br />

that occur. An assertion event is generating when the system controller gets<br />

a value, command or performs a function that results in a condition that is<br />

not deemed normal.<br />

Disabled the system controller will not log operating system assertion<br />

events.<br />

Option 8 - Remote Login Not Required<br />

Enabled the system controller will not validate the login and user name that<br />

is provided from the remote Protégé System Management Suite or other<br />

remote host systems that must log in to the system.<br />

Disabled the system controller will require that any external host accessing<br />

the system uses a valid login and user id number to gain access.<br />

It is recommended not to enable/disable or modify the settings of reserved options.<br />

Miscellaneous Options<br />

Miscellaneous options include configuration settings that affect the offline functions and<br />

remote intelligent door reader operations.<br />

Misc Options<br />

To modify options, use the keypad as explained in section Entering Data Options on Page 409.<br />

Option 1 – Auto Update Offline Users<br />

Enabled the system controller will automatically update offline configuration<br />

parameters to all RDI modules at the time programmed in the Offline User<br />

Update Time.<br />

Disabled the system controller will take no action for offline users.<br />

Option 2 – Use Alternate Resistors<br />

Enabled the system controller will use alternate EOL configured resistors<br />

(2K2 and 6K8).<br />

Disabled the system controller will use the normal 1K and 1K resistor<br />

configuration.<br />

Option 3 – Invert Module Tamper<br />

Enabled the system controller will invert the module tamper input allowing a<br />

normally open (door closed) tamper switch to be used.<br />

Disabled the system controller will use the standard normally closed (door<br />

closed) tamper switch.<br />
