Function<br />

Select when connecting the Siedle range of intercoms.<br />

Integrates to the Bus Control module by using an ACC-485<br />

unit and appropriate RS232 cable to the <strong>PRT</strong>-COMM serial<br />

interface.<br />

Select when connecting to the Sentex Infinity Multiple Point<br />

intercoms from Chamberlain group. Connects to the serial<br />

RS232 output of the intercom, may need a suitable RS485<br />

converter for distances above 15 meters.<br />

Select when connecting to the Sentex Type L single channel<br />

intercoms from Chamberlain group. Connects to the serial<br />

RS232 output of the intercom, may need a suitable RS485<br />

converter for distances above 15 meters.<br />

Select when connecting to the Enterphone intercom<br />

system. Connects to the serial RS232 output of the<br />

intercom, may need a suitable RS485 converter for<br />

distances above 15 meters. The Enterphone unit does not<br />

support multi units and therefore does not need to have the<br />

intercom address set.<br />

Validation Mode<br />

The Validation Mode determines how the intercom service will grant access and then provide<br />

a credit to an elevator car. User Number will validate the user id from the Intercom System<br />

with the exact user number in the Protégé System <strong>Controller</strong>, User PIN will validate the user<br />

with a PIN number of a user and the User Card will validate the user based on the<br />

programmed card number of a user.<br />

The user number (index) in to the Protégé System<br />

controller’s user table will be used. This is typically used<br />

with fixed user id’s for intercom control of doors and floors.<br />

The PIN number of the programmed user will be used to<br />

identify the user from the Intercom System.<br />

The Card Number of the programmed user will be used to<br />

identify the user from the Intercom System. The family<br />

number should be set to 0 unless instructions for the<br />

intercom type specify a family number.<br />
