7. INSTRUMENTATION
7.1 General - In the design of the various instrumentation components,
reliability, weight, and power requirements are to be considered of
greatest importance.
7.1.1 The data to be measured are separated into the following categories:
a) Aero-Medical Measurements
b) Internal Environment
c) Vehicle Measurements
d) Operational Measurements
e) Scientific
7.2 List of Instrumentation.- The following detailed list of required measurements
includes the data required on the first orbital manned flight and
does not reflect the requirements for the unmanned flight tests. This list
is to be considered only tentative and will be altered in accordance with
the current needs of the project.
