told investigators ~ey had been<br />

frightened when they confronted<br />

King because they believed<br />

that he was under the influence<br />

of PCP and, like some who<br />

abuse the drug, had "super-human<br />

strength."<br />

been taken following King's arrest·<br />

but the final results were<br />

not ready, Gates said.<br />

But he noted that investigators<br />

now believe King had been<br />

driving under the· influence of<br />

alcohol when he was pulled over<br />
