A county grand jury indicted four <strong>officers</strong><br />

Thursday in the videotaped beating of motorist<br />

lU>dney King.<br />

· <strong>The</strong> indictments were sealed and specific allegations<br />

and number of charges issued by the<br />

• grand jury were not known. <strong>The</strong> indictments<br />

were to be unsealed today.<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>officers</strong> ordered to appear in court are Sgt.<br />

Stacey Koon, 40; along with Officers Ted Briseno,<br />

38; Laurence Powell, 28; and Timothy<br />

Wind, 30, a rookie still on probation.<br />

: Word of the federal inquiry - which may<br />

examine an incident in Pacific Palisades - and<br />

the indictments came as hundreds of angry civil.<br />

to demand the ouster of Los Angeles Poll~<br />
