section 6 – site furnishings<br />
As the university strives for a unified campus environment, it is important to<br />
maintain a consistency with site furnishings. The following items have been<br />
approved as standard furnishings for campus improvement projects:<br />
Benches: Trash and Recycling Receptacles:<br />
Victor Stanley, Inc. Steelsites Series Victor Stanley, Inc. Steelsites Series<br />
Model RB-28, or approved equal. Model NSDC-36, or approved equal.<br />
Picnic Tables: Bike Racks:<br />
Victor Stanley, Inc.’s Steelsites Series Manufactured and supplied by owner.<br />
Model RND-363, or approved equal.<br />
The placement of site furnishings should be<br />
in pedestrian-friendly and easily accessible<br />
locations.<br />

All site furnishings shall be placed on<br />
concrete surfaces and securely mounted per<br />
manufacturer’s recommendations. Verify<br />
that placement of site furnishings does not<br />
impede pedestrian traffic flow.<br />
Care should be taken to incorporate bike<br />
racks in convenient locations, yet in a<br />
manner that respects the aesthetic integrity<br />
of the campus. Assure a minimum of 5 feet<br />
of clear sidewalk width around bike racks for<br />
pedestrian circulation (with bikes parked at<br />
or attached to the rack).<br />
