The characteristic of the present urban development in the Middle East in general is dominated through the rapidly growth of cities, to become a metropolis. The population of these metropolis grew strongly during the last half of the 20th century. 3
Syria is one of this example. The country located in a region which considered to be the place of the birth of urban development, with a history of more than 5000 years. The variety of cultural heritage in the country is reflected in urban development and in the economic life of the country. Even the influence of the occident affected the cityscape in the last 150 years. 4
