INTERNSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT We are currently looking for an intern to start in September 2009 Duration: 3 months minimum The United Nations Environment Programme/ Wuppertal Institute Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production is offering an internship of a minimum of 3 months in its office in Wuppertal, Germany. The CSCP team is looking for an open-minded personality with a high team spirit and the willingness to work in a multicultural and interdisciplinary setting. Tasks The major task of the candidate will be to give general support on the organisation of an international conference that will take place in December in Brussels. The conference is related to sustainable consumption and production concerning in particular civil society organisations. Tasks include everything related to conference organisation, among others the organisation and preparation of travelling and accommodation for speakers and participants. Competencies Excellent organising skills. Reliable and straight handling with new information and multitude of data, very good language skills. Good interpersonal skills, works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organisational goals, ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with different national and cultural backgrounds with sensitivity and respect for diversity.

The <strong>CSCP</strong> team is looking for an open-minded personality with a high team spirit and the willingness to<br />

work in a multicultural and interdisciplinary setting.<br />

Tasks<br />

The place would fit well e.g. to tourism or administration student or graduate, but it is not mandatory.<br />

Experience on event organisation is a plus.<br />

Other desirable skills: Good skills in basic computer usage. In particular, good working knowledge of<br />

MS Office-Word, Excel, Power Point, e-mail applications etc.<br />

Language<br />

The first working language is English, therefore fluency in written and spoken English is essential.<br />

Fluency in French is a plus.<br />
