MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
1. The SPCB agreed the minute of the meeting held on 2 May 2012.
MATTERS ARISING
2. The SPCB noted that a decision made at the previous meeting had
been made public in advance of due process and further noted that a
complaint had been received from Rob Gibson MSP. An SPCB member
acknowledged that they had made information available before it was due to
be in the public domain. They expressed their regret and apologised to the
other SPCB members for this action.
3. The SPCB invited the Presiding Officer to write to Mr Gibson,
confirming that the SPCB had discussed the situation, expressing its regret
that he had not been notified first as is usual SPCB practice, and reassuring
him that it had taken appropriate steps to avoid a similar incident in the future.

4. The SPCB considered the issues raised in the paper and agreed to
seek advice from the Advisory Audit Board before making a decision on the
way forward.
OFFICEHOLDERS
5. After discussion, the SPCB agreed that a paper should be brought to a
future meeting for consideration.
BUILDING MAINTENANCE: UPDATE
6. The SPCB received an update on building maintenance issues.
MEMORIALS
7. The SPCB agreed that its policy should be to decline all requests for
memorials on the parliamentary campus.
DATE OF NEXT MEETING
8. The next SPCB meeting was scheduled to take place on Wednesday,
30 May 2012.
