POLICY 1 .Ol The District may grant request for operation of special shuttles, provided that the following conditions are met: A. The District must be fully reimbursed for all costs of providing the service, and shall be paid in accordance with the Board-adopted pricing policy set forth herein. B. The routing must conform to current District routing corridors and hours of operation. C. Operation of the service by the District must not cause unfair competition with private sector providers. D. The District must have sufficient number of bus operators and coaches available so that operation of the District’s regular, fixed-route service is not compromised. E. The service must be open-door and not “charter” service, because operation of charter service by the District is prohibited by the Public Utilities Code. 1.02 Any exception to the above conditions must be approved by the District’s Board of Directors.
