Celebration <strong>of</strong><br />
Bob Burger’s Retirement<br />
Bob Burger, Achilles Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> <strong>Geosciences</strong>, retired<br />
in June 2011, after 45 years <strong>of</strong> teaching Geology at<br />
<strong>Smith</strong> <strong>College</strong>. The <strong>College</strong> celebrated Bob’s career at<br />
<strong>Smith</strong> by holding an afternoon symposium and dinner<br />
populated with alumnae speakers, some <strong>of</strong> Bob’s<br />
former students, Maria Honeycutt ‘95, Christie Rowe<br />
‘00 and Kori Newman ‘03. At the event, Bob was<br />
presented with an album full <strong>of</strong> memories, including<br />
photos and good wishes from former students. A few<br />
<strong>of</strong> the photos are included here.<br />
