BOYS GOLF<br />
1. The <strong>League</strong> will sponsor a championship in each classification that has at least twelve of its schools<br />
participating. If this requirement is not met, schools may enter the tournament of the next higher<br />
classification.<br />
2. The <strong>Rules</strong> of Golf, as approved by the United States Golf Association, shall govern golf competition.<br />
Regular season dates shall be limited to nine holes of play.<br />
3. All coaches must verify with their principal completion of the online concussion course found at<br />
www.nfhslearn.com.<br />
4. IMPORTANT DATES:<br />
First Practice .................................................................January 28<br />
First Scrimmage ............................................................ February 4<br />
Schedule Due ....................................................................March 1<br />
Eligibility Due......... Seven days prior to first regular season match<br />
First Contest.......................................................................March 4<br />
5. Golf teams are limited to 16 varsity and 12 JV playing dates including tournaments. Varsity teams<br />
are also allowed four scrimmages and one jamboree. One invitational may be pre-season and start<br />
on February 22.<br />
6. NOTE - If a school is participating in a preseason tournament more than seven days prior to its first<br />
regular season game, the certificate of eligibility must be submitted before participation in this<br />
tournament.<br />
7. The Class A State Tournament will be held at TBA. April 30 is the deadline for reporting Class A<br />
region qualifiers to tournament director. At this time the numbers of schools participating does not<br />
require a qualifying tournament.<br />
8. The Class AA State Tournament will be held at TBA. Class AA regions will qualify two teams for the<br />
State Tournament. Two individuals from a non-qualifying team in each region will advance to the<br />
State Tournament. May 7 is the deadline for reporting Class AA region qualifiers to the tournament<br />
director.<br />
9. The Boys Class AAA State Tournament will be held at TBA in accordance with AAA regulations.<br />

10. The Boys Class AAAA State Tournament will be held at Furman University on TBA in accordance<br />
with AAAA regulations. See the AAAA Handbook for details.<br />
11. Range finders and GPS devices will be allowed in match and tournament play with the following<br />
stipulations:<br />
In each pairing if any player uses a range finder/GPS device then all players in the pairing will<br />
have access to the device.<br />
