Funding: $25 million to eligible SFAs that<br />

Goal: Purchase equipment that improves<br />

◦ Quality, food safety, overall energy efficiency<br />

Grant Awards: SAs will distribute funds using<br />

a competitive application process<br />

◦ Developed under ARRA, or<br />

◦ A newly-developed competitive application process<br />

Funding: $85 Million<br />

Goal: Develop <strong>and</strong> test methods of providing<br />

access to food for children during summer<br />

months<br />

Solicitation expected to be released this<br />

This summer’s demonstrations are the first<br />

phase of a multi-year effort examining access<br />

<strong>and</strong> food insecurity in the summer months.


Funding: $8 Million<br />

Competitive grants to SAs to improve health<br />
