We live in consumer societies using too many plastic bags, wrappings, so we create more and more rubbish, using up resources. We asked our pupils to design hand-made bags they would be happy to use instead of plastic ones, when they do their necessary shopping. The bags were made from old cloth, making environmentally friendly, durable products. They wrote sentences against the trend: shopping for shopping's sake. We showed how to reuse things found at home, and prevent unnecessary consumption.
