Typically, 80% of sales come from 20% of brands. Tip Two Availability – Make sure you keep your shelves well stocked – customers can’t buy something that isn’t in your aisles, and there’s nothing worse than an empty shelf and a lost sale! Flagging bestselling brands can also lead to impulse sales, so make the most of this opportunity by keeping shelves full and double faced. Tip Three Space Management – Try to put relevant categories next to each other in-store. Placing deodorants next to skin cleansing or impulse products near to the till will maximise your space. On shelf, ensure you allocate sufficient space to the bestsellers, so they remain in stock when shoppers want them. A clear and logical layout gives customers an easier shopping experience and vertically blocking by sub category will help them to make their product choices quickly.
