Upgrade equipment to current technology
If your facility has Masterpact M-series circuit breakers
in service and would like to upgrade it to new generation
Masterpact NW circuit breakers, Schneider Electric
offers two very simple and effective upgrade solutions.
• The Masterpact MP/M retrofill kits allows Masterpact NW
fixed and drawout cradles to be retrofit into an existing
installation of Masterpact MP/M devices.
• The Mastepact MP/M “Plug and Play” solution allows a
factory modified and adapted Masterpact NW drawout
breaker to be installed into an original Masterpact MP/M
cradle.

The factory-modified and adapted “plug and play” Masterpact NW is designed for installation
in the original Masterpact M chassis. On-site upgrades are very simple:

The existing Masterpact MP/ M chassis is retained.
Busbar and cable connections are not disturbed.
(1) Although the actual work of the breaker removal and install for the plug & play solution is 30 minute, keep in
mind there is scheduled outage, Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, and additional safety precautions before and
after the install that’s a vital part of the upgrade solution.
(2) Equipment must be in an electrically safe condition during installation, repair and modification for both the
plug & play and Retrofill upgrade solutions.
