What a big week it has been in Sport!<br />
The Grand Slam is complete - ACC Swimming Champions <strong>2012</strong>, ACC Athletics Champions <strong>2012</strong>,<br />
ACC Cross Country Champions <strong>2012</strong>. No school in the history of ACC Sport has won the triple<br />
crown in the same calendar year. Congratulations to everyone involved as it is a fantastic<br />
achievement and one we all should be proud of.<br />
Congratulations to our ACC Cross Country team who were crowned champions for <strong>2012</strong> taking out<br />
the Phil Hackett Cup as the aggregate winner in Division 1. A terrific effort by all team members<br />
and special mentions must go to our coaches Mr McIntyre, Mr Brown, Mr Cox & Miss Barresi along<br />
with those staff members who helped out with breakfast each morning after training.<br />
Some fantastic efforts all round with the team taking out the Under, 14, Under 15, Under 16, Under<br />
17 & Senior Age Levels along with the Senior & Intermediate Age Champion trophy's.<br />

McDowell Shield for Best Junior Umpire. Tyler was the lone Victorian umpire chosen to officiate at the School Sports Australia<br />

Royal Children’s Hospital <strong>St</strong>udy<br />
Participants needed: FREE study for overweight young people looking for help!<br />
Murdoch Childrens Research Institute at The Royal Children’s Hospital is running a randomised clinical trial of an online weight<br />
management program for overweight adolescents. Participation involves completing height, weight, blood pressure and waist<br />
circumference measurements and an online questionnaire at baseline, 3, 6 and 12 months. Parents are also invited to<br />
participate. Every 3 months there will be a draw for a $100 gift voucher for those participants who have kept their<br />
appointments. The results will demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of using the personalised, targeted <strong>St</strong>aying Fit<br />
program for addressing weight-related behaviours during adolescence.<br />
Recruitment has commenced and we are looking for 550 overweight young people aged 12- 17 living in metropolitan<br />
