focused and get their jobs done. Although he is a results driven type of person, he still enjoys
humor and camaraderie. He includes his staff in decision making processes rather than making
all his decisions alone. He listens carefully to others.
Mr. Stewart regularly reaches out to the community and business leaders. He helps deliver toys
to the needy, enjoys Dundee’s Easter celebrations, and assists with fundraisers. He regularly
attends Chamber of Commerce meetings and conducts monthly social events at the library with
local business owners. He developed the idea for having the local TV station produce an
informative, historic film on Dundee. The TV station is currently in the process of filming, and
the Depot Museum will screen and manage the film once it has been completed.
Mr. Stewart is ambitious and sees projects through to completion. Before he became City
Manager, a proposal to construct a new Town Hall and library had been debated for over ten
years. The City had limited funds and the Commission had major concerns about such a project.
After he was hired, Mr. Stewart worked on the budget, applied for grants, and addressed the
Commission’s concerns. The administrative staff is now happily housed in Dundee’s new Town
Hall, thanks to Mr. Stewart’s initiative.

Mr. Pennant has known Mr. Stewart since 2008. Mr. Pennant preferred only to make a few
comments about Mr. Stewart. Mr. Pennant believed he would be shooting himself in the foot if
he shared his experiences with Mr. Stewart. Basically, he does not want to see Mr. Stewart leave
Dundee.
