City Manager, City of Clermont, Florida 1985-2012
The City of Clermont is located about twenty miles west of Orlando with a population of approximately
30,000. Clermont is a full-service city with a 2012 budget of just over $52 million and 277 employees.
City departments under the direct supervision of the City Manager include Police, Fire, Public Services,
Administrative Services, Utilities, Recreation, Engineering, Planning and Zoning, and City Clerk.
Significant Accomplishments:
Successfully guided the City’s transition from an agricultural town with a population of around 5,000
to a diverse thriving City of 30,000, providing excellent levels of service and maintaining a small
community atmosphere
Maintaining one of the lowest ad valorem tax rates in the area while providing superior levels of
service through sound financial planning and organizational efficiencies
