2006 Best Paper Competition Any scientific paper published by a member of the SARB between 15 October 2005 and 1 October 2006 may enter the competition for the best clinical or best experimental paper award. The board of the SARB will rank the submitted publications. All publications must be submitted to the SARB before Friday, September 15, 2006. Abstract Competition All submitted abstracts will have to be presented as a poster at the Annual Meeting. If the poster has already been presented on another occasion, the original format may be used unchanged at the SARB meeting. The jury will be composed of the international faculty and the members of the scientific committee. Two categories are proposed: clinical and experimental. The authors of the abstracts will indicate their choice for one of the two categories. If no choice is indicated, the chairman of the scientific committee will indicate the category. The best abstracts presented by a resident will be given the Resident Award, which enters the abstract automatically for the ESA Resident Award competition. Each member of the jury will rank the abstracts. The abstract with the best overall ranking will win the competition. Abstracts will not be blinded. Abstract forms and detailed guidelines for abstract submission and poster presentation are to be collected from the SARB secretariat or www.sarb.be. All abstracts must be submitted to the SARB secretariat before Friday, September 15, 2006. PBLD Rewards PBLD stands for Problem Based Learning Discussion. Information on two PBLDs will be available on each of the 10 Major Sponsor stands. The competition forms – which you will find in the congress bag - must be dropped in the PBLD box in the Major Sponsor area before 14.00 hrs. The PBLD Rewards will be presented during the PBLD Rewards Ceremony - taking place during the Farewell Drink - to the four contestants who submitted the best answers (two winners for each PBLD).
