Without the presence of this knowledge (The Atman) in you, you will<br />
be dead. The Atman inside you is inside the entire universe. Here the audience says that if this is<br />
true then why can’t we understand what is going on in others’ mind or even the sensation in one<br />
organ can’t be experienced by the other organs?<br />
Shree Samarth answers the queries. All the plants live on water yet<br />
there is a difference between their branches, leaves etc. Whichever part we severe gets dried and<br />
not the others. In the same manner the body is divided in different parts and the sensation of one<br />
part isn’t experienced by the other. Many bodies are there and they also can’t understand the mind<br />
plays of the other bodies. Yet there is no difference at the state of the Atman from the perspective<br />
of the feeling. The feeling of pain or any other sensations is the same for all the bodies and their<br />
various parts. It seems that the Atman in every body is different but this is so because of the<br />
difference in the mindset inside the bodies.<br />
Some people know it by seeing or hearing and the wise know it by<br />
testing the inner self. They do it secretly so as not to harm the feelings of anyone. This way the<br />
wise comes to know about everything. It is a simple rule that people believe others only after<br />
knowing what is going on in their mind. It is a common occurrence that the memory is very short<br />
term in nature. That being the case we tend to forget most of the things.<br />
This cycle of instability revolves in more instable ways. It doesn’t<br />
differentiate between the prince and the pauper. Memory is God, amnesia is devil and the mixture<br />
of them is the human being. You have to apply thought and wisdom to understand the underlying<br />
meaning of that. You should be able to understand the others’ soul through your own. It is like<br />
looking into the mirror.<br />
You have to become micro to understand the micro and then imbibe<br />
it. Understand others’ thoughts by applying your thought. Understand the others’ mind and feelings<br />
by being involved in them and later on by dissolving your mind and feelings in them. This way you<br />
can know the thoughts, feelings, desires etc. of others by becoming micro. While remembering<br />
when you suddenly forget it signifies the duality. The conviction that I am the real thing is<br />
remembrance which is omnipresent. The feeling that I am the body is forgetting which absence of<br />
everything is.<br />
The humans go on learning but at the same time go on forgetting<br />
what they had learnt in the past. It is like light ahead but darkness behind. There is a strange<br />
mixture of knowledge and the lack of it in them. One always gets the feeling that he knows but<br />
when the time comes he can’t reproduce it, he understands but can’t put that into practice. He can<br />
talk of many things but can’t perform when the time comes. All these are the outcome of this<br />
strange mixture. He has to completely drive away the forgetfulness for his further progress.<br />
