RIEDHAMMER has been an innovative partner for the production of carbon products for
decades.
Functional scheme
CARBON DIVISION
THE FUNCTION
For the production of high-quality anodes
the heating-up rate is a decisive factor for
obtaining excellent physical and eletrical
product properties. By using a pre-fire ramp
an optimum heating-up rate can be realized.
Thereby a flatter heating-up gradient is
rendered possible in the "critical" temperature
range between approx. 280 °C
and 460 °C on the product (degasifying
phase). This is a decisive factor for the
product quality.
Modification of the fuel
supply
In the first section of the preheating zone
a steep gradient is adjusted on the product
up to a temperature of 250 °C
(see functional scheme).
The optimized heating-up in the first section
shortens the total baking cycle.
TECHNICAL DATA
Since the pre-fire ramp works within a temperature
range below the auto-ignition temperature
of > 750 °C, automatic flame supervisors
are used. These automatic flame
supervisors permit an optimum ignition and
also ensure a flame monitoring by means
of ionization electrodes.
ratio and an efficient combustion is realized.
Operation mode:
Owing to the three available operation
modes, automatic remote-controlled operation,
local automatic operation and manual
operation, the system reaches a relia-
Double operation safety:
bility of 100 % and permits flexible use.
All ramps are equipped with one additional
pressure measuring converter each which
releases the gas valves in connection with
the downstream arranged safety chain. In
case of a furnace draught failure, the main
gas valve is automatically closed.
Wireless system:
The pre-fire ramp is equipped with a wireless
link transmitting relevant data such as for
example temperature and pressure values,
burner functions etc. from and to the central
Switchboard with three operation modes:
Automatic, remote-controlled operation
Local, automatic operation
Manual operation
It serves for regulating the gas/air volume
in dependence of the setpoint tempera-
Switchboard
computer and the visualization system. The
ture value and for controlling all further
Economic baking:
system recognizes the position of the indivi-
electrical devices on the ramp.
The required gas flow is dosed in the pre-
dual ramps and integrates this information
It is constantly connected by wireless link
scribed ratio in dependence of the reference
in the control circuit.
with the central computer.
