Replacing the AOM Amplifier
AOM = acoustooptical Modulator
Replacement required:
AOM defective
The d-lab.3 is equipped with an AOM amplifier each
for the blue and the green laser beam:
− LA_BE04 (1), blue
− LA_BE04 (2), green
Watchmaker screwdriver
Allan key
Replacement:
− Pull out the PE
− Draw the power plug
− Unscrew the top screw (3), slacken the bottoms
screw; do not disconnect the data cable (4)
− Remove the AOM, disconnect the data cable (4)
− LA_BE04 (1)
− LA_BE04 (2)
− Connect the new AOM to the data cable and the
power supply:
Adjust the AOM before screwing it down.
− Find a new characteristic curve (adjustment by
means of the Service program):
For this, move an additional monitor diode into
the light path
− Screw down the AOM
− Restart the d-lab.3
