Replacing the complete Print Engine PE
Replacement required:
Printing roller damaged
A second person is needed to replace the Print
Engine as it weights approx. 50 kg.
− Disconnect the Laser cable from the Laser:
− Pull out the PE
− Pull out the TU if necessary
− Unscrew the cover from the Laser
− Unscrew the locking screws on the cable
− Strip off the Laser cable
− Disconnect the power supply cable from the
power supply unit
− Disconnect the data cable from the SPI-GS
− Remove the cable from the drag chain
− Unscrew 4 fastening screws each on the
telescopic rails:
Push the PE in the machine, pushing the
mounting hole of the telescopic rail over the 3 rd
and then over the 4 th screw.
− Hold the PE on the inner frame and lift it out, or
push a mounting table under the PE so that the
PE can sit on it
− Push in the telescopic rails
Height-adjust the TU, see Print Engine: Checking
the Height Dimension in Register 10
Make sure after the installation that the two cables
on the laser diode lock correctly in the holder.
