Replacing the Light Sensors PE_LS05 (BOP)
Replacement required:
Light sensor (integrated on PE_GS03; sensor sheet
tip; transmitter/receiver LS) defective
Allan key 3
Cross tip screwdriver
Service cables L9.8060.9001.1 and L9.8060.9002.1
Removal:
− Pull out the PE
− Remove the rear cover plate
− Remove the holder with the sensor (2)
− Disconnect the cable from PE_GS03
− Unscrew PE_GS02 from the holder
Installation:
− Mount a new GS
− Connect the cable
− Mount the sensor with the holder
− Mount the cover plate

1. Check the adjustment sensor
− Connect the service cable
− Call up the service program and execute:
Scripts\printer\data_pe\
Lichtschranken\pe_ls05-begin of
paper-sensor.txt
− No. of cycles 0: The sensor is constantly
checked
− Enter the paper at PE at the bottom, mind the
display in the field Information
− The sensor function is OK when the message
BOP see Paper is displayed
2. Check BOP on the print
