I 2 C Bus
The 2-Bit bus on the Motherboard links all boards
of the Scanner on which Hardware and Software
conditions are checked. There is an EEPROM on
each one of these boards.
The version number coding of the board is
checked on the I 2 C-Bus.
Version Number Coding of the Boards in the Film Advance
To facilitate the maintenance and troubleshooting,
the development status of the larger boards is
recognised while the d-lab.3 is running and is
reported to the Main-PC.
− When the Layout / the component equipment is
changed, an Index is counted up on the board
concerned so that the current machine
configuration can be recognised in case of
problems.
− The version number is saved in the serial
EEPROM X24C02.
− The EPROM’s of all new boards are linked by a
2-Bit-Bus (I 2 C-Bus) on the Motherboard.
− The FL Controller can address each EEPROM
individually and check the version number via this
Bus during operation.
