Functions:
− Activation of the Prescanner and adjustment of
the stepper motor clocks for the Prescanner
− Assessment of the data for the APL (Automatic
positioning logic) and slip correction
− Calculation / performance of the slip correction
− Entry of the TFS data from the Prescanner
− Scanner configuration
− Interface to the APS magnetic decoder
(Assessment of the DX coding)
− Transfer of the TFS data to the Main-PC
(Ethernet)
The A/I Controller processes the following data
flows:
− Data from the Prescanner via special interface
and FIFO
− Data from the APS magnetic decoder via the
CAN-Bus
− Data to the Main PC via the Ethernet
This data is needed for the following functions :
− Calibration of the Prescanner
− Entry of the reference data for single frames and
for a film (brightness adjustment)
− Monitoring of the lamp light
− Entry of the Prescan data
− Normalisation of the Prescan data with the
reference data (brightness adjustment)
− Resorting of the Prescan data for the transfer to
the Main PC
− Calculation of the APL
− Slip monitoring
− Transfer of the APS magnetic data to the Main
PC via the Ethernet
− Positioning of the Prescanner
