<strong>IWMP</strong>-1 (Kadegi)<br />
1.1 Project Background<br />
(<strong>IWMP</strong>-1) Kadegi project is located in Kutiyana Taluka, Porbandar District <strong>of</strong> <strong>Gujarat</strong> state. The project is a cluster <strong>of</strong> 6<br />
micro-watersheds with 5G1B1b1a, 5G1A6a2e, 5G1C1b1b, 5G1A5b1a, 5G1A6a2e, 5G1A6a2e being their respective codes. The<br />
total project area <strong>of</strong> the watershed is about 5853.11 Ha, <strong>of</strong> which has been undertaken to be treated under Integrated<br />
Watershed Management Programme (<strong>IWMP</strong>) starting year 2009-10.<br />
The watershed includes three Villages Mer, Patel ,SC & Bharmin are the primary inhabitants <strong>of</strong> the village. The livelihood<br />
<strong>of</strong> these people is primarily based on rainfed agriculture, animal husbandry, wage labour, goat and sheep rearing.<br />
The Project area falls under the IWDP according to DoLR Classification. It is a very poor and desolate village on the<br />
border <strong>of</strong> Porbandar. The Kadegi Project was heavily Every year Flood. This has resulted in Productivity <strong>of</strong> Agriculture Land<br />
