3 Grants, corporates and trusts (continued)
Grants from Natural England include Access to Nature funding of £385,000 (2011: £140,000) for three
separate projects – “Dove Stone: Nature at the Heart of Urban Communities”, “Explore Moor at Geltsdale”
and “The RSPB South Essex People and Wildlife Programme”. This is included within restricted funds on
the Consolidated statement of financial activities.
The following grants from the Department for International Development (DfID) - Civil Society Challenge Fund
have been received; all expenditure is in accordance with the terms of the grant agreement.
