hands joined, ladies on the outside, start with outside
foot.
Slow March
1-8 8 walking steps forward along line of dance
closing on 8 th step to change direction.
9-16 8 walking steps against line of dance to starting
position, turning on 8 th step to face line of dance.
Waltz
1-4 Nearer hands joined. Balance away from
partner then towards partner. Repeat; away,
towards.
5-8 Ballroom hold, waltz around twice.
9-12 Repeat Bars 1-4, balance away, towards, away,
towards.
13-16 Repeat Bars 5-8, ballroom hold, waltz round
twice.
Polka
1-16 As for waltz, but polka step for turning instead of
waltz step.

1-4 1C cross by the RH and cast off 1 place, 2C
stepping up.
5-8 1C and 3C dance RHA, finishing 1M facing 3W
with his partner behind him.
9-12 1C dance a half-diagonal reel of three in tandem
with 1 st corners (during the reel, 1W takes the
lead from 1M and finishes facing 2W with 1M
behind her).
13-16 1C dance a half-diagonal reel of three in tandem
with 2 nd corners (1M takes the lead to finish
facing 3W (now in the woman’s 1 st corner
position) with 1W behind him).
17-20 1C dance a half-diagonal reel of three in tandem
with 1 st corners, finishing 1W facing 2W with 1M
behind her.
21-24 1C dance a half-diagonal reel of three in
tandem, finishing 1M facing out ladies’ side with
1W behind him.
25-30 1C and 2C dance LHA, retaining LH, 1C cross to
own sides.
31-32 All three couples set.

9-16 1C followed by 3C dance up the middle, cast off
one place, dance in joining nearer hands and
dance down, 1C cast up to 2 nd place while 3C
finish in 3 rd place.
17-24 1C turn 1 st corner with RH, pass RS, turn 2 nd
corner with RH, and pass RS to finish in 2 nd
place on own sides.
25-32 2C, 1C, and 3C dance six hands round and
back.
