THE SAUCEPAN<br />

is round, fairly shallow and has 2 handles on the sides. It is generally used to cook sauces,<br />

meat and vegetables.<br />

THE FRYPAN<br />

is round with fairly low edges. Its long handle makes it perfect for tossing or frying food.<br />

THE SAUCE POT<br />

is similar to the saucepan but it is a bit deeper and has a long handle. Ideal for roasts, meat<br />

in general and vegetables.<br />

THE HIGH STOCK POT<br />

is cylindrical and comes in many different diameters and capacities. It is used for boiling<br />

and, more generally, for pasta and soups.<br />

THE BAKING PAN<br />

instead, is generally used in the oven. It is rectangular and is perfect for roasting meat and<br />

vegetables, lasagne and cannelloni, and all other dishes that need to be put in the oven.<br />
