Hafen Titel - Rostock Port

The operator of the oil port, Grosstanklager
Ölhafen Rostock GmbH, is a joint venture of
Euroports Germany and TOTAL Deutschland
GmbH. It operates three tank farms with a
capacity of around 700,000 cubic metres.
Oil and fuels are landed via six berths, stored,
processed if necessary and forwarded via
pipeline, tanker trucks or tank wagons.
Berths 1 and 2 are used by bunker vessels.
Berths 3 to 6 and the tank facilities are linked
to the refineries in Schwedt and Leuna via
a crude oil pipeline and with Böhlen via a
naphtha pipeline.
The oil port is able to service tankers with
cargoes up to 100,000 tonnes, with hourly
handling rates of up to 6,000 tonnes.
The countries of origin for diesel, petrol and
fuel oil are Scandinavia, the Baltic states,
Russia, the UK and France. Naphtha and
benzene are mainly imported from southern
Europe, the Baltic states and the US.
Berths 1 to 5 have been thoroughly upgraded
in recent years.
