Roads: Adequate roads infrastructure<br />

Education: Taking into account the growth of the existing<br />

population in Elphin, and the development of approximately 150<br />

additional households over the Plan period (19.3 acres x 8 houses<br />

per acre), it will be necessary to extend the existing national school<br />

by approximately 5 classrooms to accommodate the scale of<br />

residential development proposed over the period of the Plan.<br />

Childcare: Additional childcare facilities will be provided by<br />

developers.<br />

Community Facilities: A playground needs to be provided in the<br />

<strong>area</strong> within the lifetime of this Plan (see Chapter 7 Social and<br />

Community Facilities).<br />

Healthcare: Additional healthcare facilities need to be provided<br />

within the lifetime of this Plan.<br />

Retail: Additional retail facilities may need to be provided within<br />

the lifetime of this <strong>plan</strong>. (Chapter 4 Infrastructure and Services)<br />

be developed until 70% of Phase 1 lands are developed or have consent.<br />
