Troubleshooting:
Train will not run:
• If the train controller is not used for more than 5 minutes the train will power down to conserve
batteries. Press the smoke stack to activate the POWER ON MODE. Check if headlamp on front of
train lights ups after button is pressed. If headlamp does not light up change batteries in engine.
engine.
• Direct sunlight can interfere with the operation of any IR controller. Move the train and controller
out of direct sunlight.
• Check to be sure the batteries are orientated properly. In the engine this means you should
see the + side of on the top battery and the - side of the bottom two batteries. In the controller
check to see if they are oriented as shown in the diagrams molded into the bottom of the battery
compartments.
• Be sure the screws on the engines battery door are closed snuggly. The battery door must be fully
closed for the battery contacts to be properly engaged.
• Put NEW batteries in the engine
• Put NEW batteries in the controller.
