Competency:<br />
After completion <strong>of</strong> the course, the trained person would<br />
be able to coordinate different activities <strong>of</strong> grainage and<br />
supervise egg production.<br />
6. Duration: 150 hours<br />
7. Preface: The grainage operations require coordination at all the<br />
stages so as to get optimum productivity at the lowest<br />
expenses and to deliver the materials to the customers in<br />
time. Supervisor coordinates all aspects <strong>of</strong> grainage<br />
ranging from pre emergence to egg laying, moth testing<br />
and marketing <strong>of</strong> eggs. He supervises the availability <strong>of</strong><br />
skilled labour for day - to - day work and he has to make<br />
arrangements for shortage <strong>of</strong> labour. Supervisor sorts out<br />
all kinds <strong>of</strong> discrepancies which may arise during egg<br />
production. Hence, this module.<br />

relationship with the employees <strong>of</strong> the<br />
grainage with mock drills.<br />
‣ Selection <strong>of</strong> good quality seed cocoons<br />
in conformation with the standard<br />
norms.<br />
‣ Organizing sexing <strong>of</strong> cocoons, disposal<br />
<strong>of</strong> unselected cocoons.<br />
‣ Coordinating the work <strong>of</strong> emergence,<br />
pairing, depairing, egg laying<br />
preservation <strong>of</strong> moths, and eggs.<br />
‣ Coordinating the processing <strong>of</strong><br />
‣ To supervise sheet and loose egg<br />
production.<br />
‣ Surface disinfection <strong>of</strong> eggs.<br />
‣ Functioning <strong>of</strong> grainage.<br />
