At Software & Systems Quality Conferences real life experience is the key. Seven annual conferences are the meeting place for
the Testing and Quality community where speakers speak about their practical experience and well known keynote speakers
present industry trends. They are pointing the way for the Software Quality of the future.
High level, very practical, best of breed, and interesting presentations will be given by leaders from different business areas
as well as from the academic scene. You can also use this respected exchange forum by joining or extending your network for
quality management and testing. Talking to other delegates, learning from experiences of the presenters, being able to talk to
important tool vendors and service suppliers in the exhibition will give you the chance to update on the latest level of methodology,
technology, procedures, benefits, costs, etc. in a very short time: Spend one or two days to be at least two steps ahead.
Four keynote presentations from invited experts will give a framework to this two-day event. The presentations are split into
two parallel tracks: one on Software Quality Management and the other on Software Testing. Parallel to these presentations
will be a separate exhibitor’s track giving you an opportunity to get an overview about the offerings of the leading tool vendors
and service suppliers.

In 2006 Credit Suisse Private Bank IT decided to build new secure data centres for offshore/global SW
development and testing (that are detached from existing CS data centres and intranet) through program
SYNONYM. In order to enable global SW development and testing that is compliant to national legislation
and IT risk and legal regulations (Swiss Banking Secrecy), program SYNONYM established a highly secure
development zone and introduced purely synthetic test data, based on the so called “Virtual Bank” concept
for simulation of real bank business.
The presentation highlights:

aspects of the “Virtual Bank” with synthetic data generation
challenges for both the SYNONYM program team and the SW development and testing community
plans for future enhancements towards virtualized multi-environment-, next-generation SW-Engineering
Why do we Invest in Quality will take a pragmatic look at how projects and initiatives are really created,
targets the real value of understanding quality and will offer up tasty opportunities that still exist around
ICT delivery.
As many initiatives are managed and delivered via a project methodology mixed amongst various degrees
of organisational maturity, the question is: Who actually influences the “right“ level of quality with the “right“
components and approach? The Test Managers that don’t understand Project Management or Project
Managers that don’t understand Testing....

In this interactive presentation, Kelvin an Rudolf will give an update on the latest results from the Survey
2009 with actual data from Australia and contrast software testing and quality trends in Europe to that
in Australia. The Survey 2009 is based on the survey that Pierre Audoin Consultants (PAC), a market
research organisation, has conducted in 2008 on behalf of SQS. For this latest study, there will be an
online survey done in Q3/2009 and the results are especially selectable for Australia. This study provides
a representative view of the testing market in Europe and reviewed issues such as sourcing resources, QA
organisation, training, utilisation of tools, industrialisation and professionalization.
Does the current economic climate influence the demand for Testing and Quality Management? Are the
CIOs more risk aware than before or do they try to save some money short term with not testing? Are
the business leaders suspending the investment into products with less Testing and Quality Management
or do they invest even more to become competitive? From the supplier point of view, will there be more
SaaS deals than selling licenses for testing tools? How does the current climate influence the trend for
outsourcing: push it to save cost or delay it to avoid the risk (because we all know that a percentage of
the outsourcing deals are cancelled before deadline)?
Fundamental questions, invited panel members will give an answer to. We are having executives from the
before mentioned areas at the panel. Trends and approaches will be examined.
