UNIVERSITY OF CRAIOVA This stage corresponds to the beginning of the process of reforming the general educational system in our country, including the academic one (due to the introduction of new forms of education, the redefinition of the methods of evaluation, the correlation between instruction and practical activities, and the experimentation of new techniques of communication within the academic structures). The present component of the academic community (structured according to the nature of specializations: pedagogic, agricultural, juridical, economical and technical) resulted after the appearance of new faculties (Law, Physical Education and Sports, Technology, etc) and the reorganization of new ones included in the University of Craiova: 1. Faculty of Letters; 2. Faculty of Mathematics – Informatics; 3. Faculty of Chemistry; 4. Faculty of Physics; 5. Faculty of History, Philosophy, Geography; 6. Faculty of Theology; 7. Faculty of Physical Education and Sports; 8. Faculty of Agriculture; 9. Faculty of Horticulture; 10. Faculty of Law “Nicolae Titulescu”; 11. Faculty of Economy - Craiova; 12. Faculty of Economy – Dr. Tr. Severin 13. Faculty of Electrotechnics; 14. Faculty of Mechanics; 15. Faculty of Electro-mechanics; 16. Faculty of Automation Technology, Computers and Electronics; 17. Faculty of Engineering and the Management of Technological Systems. The educational offer displayed by the University of Craiova regards: more than 90 specialisations belonging to different areas of academic education: universitarian-pedagogical agricultural juridical economical technical multiple educational forms: intramural extramural reduced frequency courses long-duration courses (faculties) short-duration courses (colleges) post-university studies master doctorate This institution also includes two colleges and several institutes, centres and departments affiliated to certain faculties or functioning autonomously.
