Statistic situation
In Romania the situation of the teaching staff was the following one:

In 1995 – 22 611 specialists
In 2000 – 27 959 (representing 9.5% of the teaching staff which in 2001
counted 294 938 specialists, percentage inferior to the one for the preschool
education – 11.5%, elementary and secondary school – 55.1% and
21.7%)
In 2001-2002 the teaching staff of the University of Craiova
represented 3.32% of the total number
