9th AF commander visits <strong>Robins</strong><br />

Above, Maj. Gen. Lawrence Wells, 9th <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> commander, speaks to senior noncommissioned<br />

at Wynn Dining Facility. Wells spent two days at <strong>Robins</strong> visiting the JSTARS units. It was<br />

his first visit to <strong>Robins</strong> since the 461st was activated.<br />

Below, Tech. Sgt. Ronald Gray, 116th Maintenance Squadron engine mechanic, left,<br />

shows Wells, center, and his wife, Kathy, a fan blade from a E-8 Joint STARS engine that<br />

incurred foreign object damage. Gray explained how FOD occurs and the process to<br />

repair engines that have been damaged.<br />
