Basketball
Bangkok Patana
1 – 3 February 2013
WELCOME
A message from Bangkok Patana Head of School, Matthew Mills
It is with the greatest pleasure that I would like to welcome students, coaches, parents, and friends
to this year’s SEASAC Boys Basketball Championships. I know, that, as ever you will find a friendly
welcome here from our Patana community.
We hope you enjoy playing basketball in our modern sports hall and it is a real pleasure to be able
to host this tournament at this top quality facility. It is wonderful to see all 13 SEASAC schools
taking part and it is pleasing to see the standard of basketball improving within SEASAC.
I would like to thank all the BPS staff and all our coaches, Sports and Activities staff and all our
ancillary staff for the huge amount that they have all done (and will do!) to make this tournament
the success that I know it will be.
Have fun!
Best wishes,
Matthew Mills,
Head of School
Enjoy your weekend in Bangkok!

campus for treatment.
The SEASAC presentation dinner will take place at school on Saturday after the day 2 games in the
Coach’s Code of Conduct
Each Coach Shall:
Abide by the content and intent of the SEASAC Constitution, Handbook, Playing
Regulations and Appendices and should accept and support the rules governing
the sport and those responsible for administering the rules.
Prepare participants with regard to the behaviour expected of them at a
SEASAC event.
Cooperate with fellow coaches, tournament directors, officials and student
minor officials in the performance of their duties.
Exemplify ethical behaviors, including honesty, integrity, fair play and
sportsmanship.
Be generous in winning and graceful in losing.
Refrain from humiliating other teams either verbally or through results on the
playing surface - winning is desirable but to win at any cost defeats the purpose
of the game and is in conflict with the spirit of fellowship at SEASAC events.
Accept responsibility for the conduct of his/her athletes and discourage
inappropriate behaviour in competition and while at or away from the sporting
venue.
Understand that obscenities, trash talk or other forms of verbal abuse from a
coach or player directed at coaches, officials, players or spectators are not
acceptable behaviors in SEASAC competition.
Keep his/her coaching function in proper personal and professional perspective.
