CHAMPIONS 5 YEARS IN A ROW!
RIS Boys Varsity Softball Team
he boys’ varsity softball team
Tkept their winning tradition alive
by capturing their 5 th consecutive
SEASAC title. While the team
struggled in the short season losing
all 4 games it played, coach Dave
Cote’s boys never let their poor start
defray them from their goal.
“Early in the season, the boys were
finding ways to lose games,” said
coach Dave. “They were ahead in
each one of their games but had
mental collapses in the big innings.
We just kept things fun and positive
up until the SEASAC tournament and
you could see the hitting and overall
team confidence-level improving.”
When asked whether or not he thought
that the RIS boys’ team would go
undefeated in the tournament, Coach
Cote said, “I wouldn’t have bet my
life on it, that’s for sure! The boys
played solid defensively and batted
almost .600 for the tournament. It
is difficult to lose a high school
tournament when you are playing
that well!”
Congratulations to the RIS boys team
for winning SEASAC this year!
