SENIOR ROUND ROBIN
Senior students participated in the summer round of Maroondah
Division sport on Monday the 15th of February. The boys and girls
tennis teams were comfortable
winners on the day, with the boys
winning easily and the girls also
getting through to Region finals.
The softball team also won both
games very easily and employed
some great team tactics. The girls
volleyball team dominated and
also went through the day undefeated,
whilst the boys managed
to win 3 out of 5 games. The baseball team were unlucky to miss
the win they needed to get through, while the boys cricket team
also played well and were solid contenders, but narrowly missed
out on progressing through to the next round.
SURF LIFE SAVING LEAGUE
On February 24th Ringwood entered their first ever Male and Female
Surf League teams. The competition was run by Lifesaving Victoria
at Pt Leo and involved swimming, sprinting and boarding, as
well as some very sore arms by
the end of the day! Both teams
performed very well on the
day, especially given many students
hadn’t been involved in
Life saving sports before. Some
of the highlights included Khy
Blizzard’s 3rd placing, Tristan
Blizzards 2nd placing and Aaron
Bentall’s 3rd placing in their age
groups Run Swim Run events. Josh Edwards finished 2nd in the
Intermediate Beach sprint, with Abby Couper also showing plenty
of dash finishing 3rd in the girls final. Well done to all students
involved, hopefully we can build on this year’s performance next
year.
