Georgia Preferential Property Tax
Assessment Program
Freezes the property tax assessment for
over eight years at before the rehab rate.
Property tax is still paid, but not increased.
The rehab must increase the Fair Market
Value of the building by 100% if incomeproducing,
and by 50% if a personal
residence. Tax advantage is transferable to
new owners and is available for both
income producing and residential
properties.
